Traditionally Thai people will float lotus flower shaped vessels made from banana leaves in the river. These, often homemade vessels, usually contain offerings of candles, incense, flowers, and some coins and are believed to carry the makers wishes down stream with them.
From 1pm Wat Buddhapadipa will be hosting an exhibition of Thai culture as well as the traditional "Miss Loy Krathong" or "Noppamas Queen" Beauty Contest. The floating of Krathong at the temple lake begins from 4pm.
