On the 23rd of November the Royal Thai Embassy, London hosted the first informal meeting of the proposed new Association of Thai Businesses for Thai nationals working in the UK. The seminar, opened by His Excellency Mr. Kitti Wasinondh, focussed on promoting awareness of changing UK immigration laws coming into effect in January 2010.
Participants from more than twenty Thai businesses attended the seminar given by representatives Nigel Sellens and Keith Smith of Harbour HR and in association with Patara Fine Thai Cuisine.
In addition to the presentation on immigration law representatives from a previous incarnation of the Association met to discuss the future of the group and its potential as a means of supporting the Thai community in the UK whilst working in conjunction with the Royal Thai Embassy.
